About us…

Located on the historic Aldasoro family ranch, Telluride Sleighs and Wagons offers guests a unique and unforgettable experience.

The Aldasoro Ranch was established in the early 1920s. Originally from the Basque Country in northern Spain, our family immigrated to the San Juan Mountains to supply lamb and wool to the nearby mining camps in Telluride’s high mountains.

Over the following decades, our family continued to live and ranch in the area while Telluride experienced significant changes. From a booming mining town to near extinction, and finally rejuvenation through the creation of the ski area, the Aldasoro family has remained an important part of the community.

Since the Aldasoro Ranch’s development began in the early 1990s, the family has preserved the core of the large property exclusively for family use. Now, this land—with its spectacular views and rich history—is being opened to the public for the first time through our unique sleigh ride experience.

Cancellation Policy: All reservations are charged a $50 per person deposit. If this deposit was not collected at the time you made the booking, you will receive a separate email to collect it. If you do not complete the deposit, your reservation will be released. Deposits are refundable up to one week (7 days) before the reservation. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance or no-shows will be charged the full price of the reservation.

Waitlist/ Notify Me

Are we already booked for your preferred date or time?

Our waitlist has moved to Tock, please search for the date and time you would like and then select Notify Me. You will be able to select multiple days at a time. We utilize this list to fill empty spots after any cancellations.
