About us…

Located on the historic Aldasoro family ranch, Telluride Sleighs and Wagons offers guests a unique and unforgettable experience.

The Aldasoro Ranch was established in the early 1920s. Originally from the Basque Country in northern Spain, our family immigrated to the San Juan Mountains to supply lamb and wool to the nearby mining camps in Telluride’s high mountains.

Over the following decades, our family continued to live and ranch in the area while Telluride experienced significant changes. From a booming mining town to near extinction, and finally rejuvenation through the creation of the ski area, the Aldasoro family has remained an important part of the community.

Since the Aldasoro Ranch’s development began in the early 1990s, the family has preserved the core of the large property exclusively for family use. Now, this land—with its spectacular views and rich history—is being opened to the public for the first time through our unique sleigh ride experience.

Private Ranch Dinner- No Horses

$1,000 for groups of 2–6 guests.

Each additional adult is $175, and each additional child is $100, based on the meal ordered. BYOB

Afternoon Sleigh Rides

Experience the magic of a horse-drawn sleigh or wagon ride at the historic Aldasoro Family Ranch. Embark on a winter adventure with two rides, conveniently departing from the Telluride Courthouse at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM Tuesday through Thursday, and a single ride on Friday and Saturday at 1:00 PM. Whether you're seeking a family outing or booking a private sleigh ride for a romantic excursion, these sleigh rides are perfect for all ages. The price includes everything you need for a memorable experience - transportation, a picturesque sleigh ride, comforting hot drinks, and delectable s'mores. These rides DO NOT INCLUDE A MEAL. Snuggle under cozy blankets as you marvel at the breathtaking views, providing the perfect backdrop for an enchanting winter escape. Come, and let us transport you to a world of winter wonderland.

Private Dinner Sleigh Rides

Telluride Sleighs and Wagons will be offering one private dinner sleigh ride each night, Tuesday through Thursday, and two private dinner rides on both Friday and Saturday. Each ride is limited to a single group, ensuring a private and personalized experience. These exclusive outings allow you and your guests to discover an intimate part of Telluride that has only recently been opened to the public. Join us at the Aldasoro Family’s Ranch as we celebrate their 100-year legacy in 2026.

Rides will take place in either a sleigh or a wagon, depending on snow conditions and trail access.

Tuesday-Thursday, 1 dinner nightly

If you have a baby or infant that you want to bring on the ride, you must provide and install your own car seats.

All dinner rides are private, and transportation will be coordinated with you ahead of time. Pick-up will be limited to one location.

Please dress warmly for the ride.  While dinner is served in a heated tent, the sleigh ride will be outside in an uncovered sleigh or wagon. We have warm wool blankets for the sleigh ride. Coats, hats, and gloves are recommended and winter-ready footwear is a must! Dress in layers if you tend to get cold.

Cancellation Policy: All reservations are charged a $50 per person deposit. If this deposit was not collected at the time you made the booking, you will receive a separate email to collect it. If you do not complete the deposit, your reservation will be released. Deposits are refundable up to one week (7 days) before the reservation. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance or no-shows will be charged the full price of the reservation.

Our waitlist has moved to Tock, please search for the date and time you would like and then select Notify Me. You will be able to select multiple days at a time. We utilize this list to fill empty spots after any cancellations.
